Dr. Isaiah Pickens

His unique expertise as a clinical psychologist and organizational development specialist is grounded in a career building people and systems.

As former Assistant Director at the UCLA-Duke National Center for Child Traumatic Stress and a former clinical assistant professor at NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Pickens has built a reputation as a national trauma expert and highly sought-after specialist for building emotionally-intelligent workforces.  

As a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Leader and Fellow, Dr. Pickens works collaboratively with cross-sector scholars and practitioners to promote a  culture of health in America. Building on his national cross-sector work, Dr. Pickens is certified by Stanford University as a Compassion Specialist and uses his expertise in building compassionate systems to guide organizations toward workplace cultures that promote productivity without sacrificing staff wellbeing.

While leading iOpening Enterprises, Dr. Pickens has developed Elevate Work, a breakthrough suite of professional development programs that have helped organizational leaders and their staff navigate the most difficult work culture challenges.
